Privacy notice
Last updated 1 October 2026
This is a short notice while our adviser reviews the full one. It describes what we do today.
Who we are
HiveRec is made by MCR Labs Ltd ("we"), a company registered in England and Wales. We decide how the personal data collected through this website is used, so we are its controller. For anything about your data, email privacy@hiverec.io.
What this notice covers
This notice covers the HiveRec website, hiverec.io. When an agency uses the HiveRec app, the agency decides how its workers' and clients' data is used, and we handle that data on the agency's behalf. The agency's own privacy notice explains that use.
What we collect
- What you send through the demo form: your name, work email, phone number if given, agency name, role and the other details you choose to share, including whether you would like occasional HiveRec news.
- Emails you send us.
- Your IP address, held for a short time in the website's working memory to limit repeated form submissions from one connection. We don't write it to a database.
- Technical information our hosting provider records to keep the site working and secure, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
- Visitor statistics: our hosting provider counts page views and where visitors come from, without cookies. The figures we see don't identify you.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to you and arrange a demo: our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, or steps you asked us to take before a possible contract.
- To send you occasional HiveRec news, only if you tick the box on the form: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
- To keep the site secure and working, including limiting repeated form submissions: our legitimate interests.
- To count visits so we can improve the site: our legitimate interests.
- To keep records the law requires: legal obligation.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
Only the services we use to run the site and reply to you:
- Vercel Inc., a US company: website hosting and visitor statistics.
- Resend, a US company: sending your demo request to our inbox.
- The provider that hosts our email inbox, which holds your request and our replies.
Transfers outside the UK
Vercel and Resend are US companies, so your details may be handled in the United States. Where they are, the transfer is covered by the safeguards in each provider's data processing terms, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Email us if you would like more detail.
How long we keep it
We keep demo requests and emails only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and follow it up. If you become a customer, our customer records apply. Hosting logs are kept for the short period our hosting provider sets.
Cookies
This site doesn't set cookies that need your consent. Visitor statistics are counted without cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, ask us to limit its use, or ask for it in a portable format. Email privacy@hiverec.io. We reply within one month. To stop HiveRec news, use the link in any news email, or email us.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We will update this notice when how we use data changes, and change the date at the top.
